
Rental Policy

1. Cancellation window
- Cancel more than 24 hours before pickup for a full refund.
- Cancel within 24 hours of pickup for a 50% refund.
- No-shows forfeit the full rental amount.
2. Card on file at pickup
At pickup at our Amagansett shop, we capture a credit card to keep on file for the duration of your rental. No additional charge is placed at pickup. The card on file is only used in the event of damage, loss, or late return per the terms below.
3. Damage policy
- Minor dings and scratches expected from normal use are covered by the rental fee — no charge.
- Significant damage (cracked stringer, snapped board, large delamination) is billed to the card on file at the documented repair cost or fair-market replacement cost, whichever is lower.
- We provide a written assessment with photos before any charge is placed. You may dispute through the shop manager within 7 days.
4. Replacement-board policy
If your rental board is damaged beyond same-day repair during your rental, we provide a replacement board of comparable shape and dimensions at no extra charge for the remainder of your rental period.
5. Late returns
Returns more than 30 minutes past the scheduled end time are billed at the daily rate for each additional day until the board is returned.
6. Loss or theft
If a board is lost or stolen during your rental, you are responsible for the fair-market replacement cost. File a report with us immediately and a police report when applicable.
