Lesson Policy

1. Cancellation window
- Cancel more than 48 hours before your start time for a full refund.
- Cancel between 24 and 48 hours before for a 50% refund or free reschedule.
- Cancel within 24 hours of start time and the lesson is non-refundable.
2. Reschedules
You may reschedule once, free of charge, up to 24 hours before your original start time, subject to instructor availability. Use the reschedule link in your booking confirmation email.
3. Weather and surf conditions
If your instructor cancels for unsafe conditions (lightning, dangerous surf, hazardous water quality), you receive a full refund or free reschedule. Light rain alone does not cancel a lesson.
Decisions are made by the lead instructor by 6 AM ET on lesson day; you will receive an SMS and email if your lesson is called off.
4. Late arrivals and no-shows
- Lessons start on time. Late arrivals shorten the in-water portion.
- No-shows are billed in full and are non-refundable.
5. Minimum age and waivers
- Group lessons: ages 8 and up.
- Private lessons: ages 5 and up with a parent on the beach.
- All participants under 18 require a parent or legal guardian signature on the liability waiver before entering the water.
6. Equipment and safety
Surfboard, leash, and wetsuit (when needed) are included. You are responsible for treating equipment with reasonable care. Replacement cost may apply for negligent damage or loss.
